About Cyndra Bradford
Bradford
grew up on Partington Ridge, Big Sur, where the changing dramatic light of the coast inspired her
to become an artist. At the age of 18 she was selling her Serigraphs throughout the U.S., and by
the age of 24 she was a member of the Carmel Art Association.
As a Plein Air painter, first with acrylics and then with oils, she attempts to capture the energy of the challenging elements and changing light. “I feel that a painting of the ocean should not just capture a wave, but the constant motion and power of the ocean.”
In an effort to promote herself and the other Informalists, she opened the Galerie Plein Aire in 1999.
